Cougars Athletics and Recreation is committed to equity diversity, and inclusion. As such, we strive to create accessible and inclusive places, spaces, and programs where people can show up as their authentic selves regardless of ability, race, ethnicity, religion, spirituality, gender, gender identity/expression, age, sexual orientation, ability, socioeconomic status, or national origin.

Persons with a disability who have a permanent injury impacting mobility and/or functional ability have access to all of the facility features offered, and can request a discount on monthly and annual public memberships.
Both levels of the facility have elevator access and additional features so that persons with a disability can enjoy our various facilities, including:
Wheelchair accessible change rooms and showers
Adaptive equipment in the Climbing Centre
A variety of accessible fitness equipment
Most of our activity spaces are accessible to people who require a manual wheelchair or mobility aides.
Accessibility features include:
Accessible parking spaces
Power-operated entry door
Elevator to the Customer Service Desk
Elevator between the Fitness Centre and Track Level
Three fitness spaces with different flooring
Fluorescent and natural lighting
Pool ramp
Aquatic wheelchair
Adaptive climbing harnesses
Wide interior paths of travel
Accessible change rooms which include private showers, toilets, and sinks
Please note that all other activity spaces and equipment can be modified to meet individuals needs.
We have intentionally positioned our adapted fitness equipment near the elevator on the track level. Click here to view a list of adapted equipment available in our facility.
