Mount Royal Recreation

MRU Recreation requires all students and employees to scan a valid ONECard when visiting our recreation spaces.

What happens if I forget my ONECard and would like to access the recreation facility? If you forget your ONECard, you will be asked to provide a valid piece of photo identification such as a driver's license. A note will be made on your account each time you forget your card, and if you forget it more than 3 times in an academic year, you may not be granted access.

What if I forgot my ONECard and my valid piece of photo identification? For safety reasons, we will not allow access to anyone without proof of identification.

MRU Credit Students

MRU credit students have automatic access to the Recreation Centre via their athletics and recreation fee, paid with tuition each semester. Students must have their ONECard to scan for entry.

MRU credit student benefits include:

• student pricing on most recreation programs
• student locker rentals
• 7 day advanced squash court bookings
• family members living in the same household are eligible for membership discounts.

Students may gain access to the facility during the summer months through our summer membership option. All student summer memberships must be purchased in-person at the Customer Service desk, and will be prorated based on purchase date.

MRU students registered in programs that are not assessed an athletics and recreation fee are eligible for membership discounts.

Employees

MRU offers its full-time employees (MRSA, MRFA, Management/Exempt) a complimentary membership to the Recreation Centre as an employee benefit. MRU Employees must have their ONECard to scan for entry.

MRU employee benefits include

• 7 day advanced squash court bookings
• family members living in the same household are eligible for membership discounts.

MRU employees that do not receive a Recreation Centre membership as their employee benefit are eligible for a discounted membership.
