Get moving this fall: a student guide to what’s new at MRU Recreation

Welcome back, students! Whether you're new to MRU or returning for another semester, MRU Recreation offers plenty of ways to get active, try something new and connect with your campus community. From competing and making new friends to discovering a new sport or finding a workout that fits your schedule, there's something for everyone.
 
Fall intramural sports are back
Stay active, meet new people and bring your game face this semester. Our intramural leagues offer something for every skill level, whether you're looking for friendly competition or casual weekend fun. Choose from volleyball, basketball, dodgeball, hockey and futsal. Register as a free agent or sign up with a full team by September 24 at 12:00 p.m.
 
Join a student sport club
Passionate about rugby, fastball or dance? Join one of our student-led sport clubs. Open to all skill levels, sport clubs offer a balance of skill-building, competition and community. Visit our website to explore the full lineup and register.
 
Sign up for Personal Training with your friends!
Get the benefits of a personal trainer without the high cost. Gather up to four friends, build a routine around your class schedule, and save more as your group grows.
 
Student small group training rates:
·         1 participant: $63.20 per person
·         2 participants: $31.40 per person
·         3 participants: $21.10 per person
·         4 participants: $15.80 per person

Make a splash: NEW Witbit inflatable obstacle course
Sundays just got an upgrade! Test your balance, strength and agility on our new Wibit inflatable obstacle course in the deep end during open swim. Check the online schedule to see when the Wibit is in the pool and get ready to take on the challenge.
 
MOVE MORE this fall with group fitness
Looking for an easy way to fit fitness into your busy student schedule? MOVE MORE Group Fitness makes it simple to stay active with six-week group fitness sessions and unlimited access to weekly yoga, HIIT, strength, Pilates and more with one pass.
Plus, we are offering NEW Student-Only Classes — get moving with exclusive student sessions every Monday and Tuesday! Ready to get started? Check out the full class schedule and grab your pass.
 
And, as always, there are plenty of ways to stay active on your own schedule. MRU Recreation continues to offer open swim times, drop-in gym times, drop-in climbing, access to our general fitness areas, and more so you can get moving whenever it works for you. Check the online schedule for current hours and availability, and make MRU Recreation part of your routine this fall!
